Last year, Record Store Day Canada partnered with MusiCounts for the exclusive EP release of Kevin Hearn and Friends Present: The Superhero Suite. All proceeds helped MusiCounts put instruments into schools and communities across Canada. Thanks to YOU, we were able to raise $6.5K.
THIS YEAR, RECORD STORE DAY CANADA and MusiCounts are teaming up for the third year on Saturday August 29, 2020, and we want YOU to join us. Plus NAD Electronics will be providing you with tote bags in support of music education. All proceeds will support MusiCounts, Canada’s music education charity!
About MusiCounts:
Every year, more schools are in need of MusiCounts’ help. Last year, MusiCounts could only support 1 in 7 schools that were in urgent need of new instruments and resources. With increased government spending to help Canada weather the COVID-19 crisis, education budgets will likely be tightened, with music education being severely impacted. Music education in Canada is facing unprecedented risk and challenges but with your help, we’ll be able to support new opportunities and innovation.
Music has the power to bring people and communities together to share experiences, hardships and stories. Our schools and our next generation can’t afford to lose out on music education.
