We're pleased to report that Guelph Taylor Swift fans helped raise almost $500 for local charity The Bench.
All the money from ticket sales for our raffle of copies of Swift's "the lakes" record will go directly to The Bench, helping people in need in the downtown area.
In the end, 30 fans bought tickets (some bought many multiples!). We received one more copy of this now collectible rare record and we were able to add another winner to the pot so we drew 3 random names.
The winners have been contacted and should be coming into the store this week to pick up their prize records (so, photos forthcoming).
We at Royal Cat are very excited that this all worked out and that these records are going to true fans instead of ending up selling online for crazy prices, all while helping out a good cause. Ticket sales from the raffle amounted to $480.
